Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you may want to know before your first session.
Not at all. Reiki always flows where it is needed most in your body and won’t harm you. How it feels is personal, but people generally feel a sense of deep peace, relaxation and love during a Reiki healing session.
Reiki is a gentle, non-invasive practice with no serious side effects. Occasionally, clients may experience what is known as a “healing crisis”—feeling slightly fatigued or emotional as deeply held energetic blockages are released from the body. This is temporary and a positive sign of healing.
No, Reiki is not a religion. It is a spiritual energy healing practice rooted in Japanese tradition. It has no dogma, and there is nothing you must believe in order to receive or practice Reiki. It is compatible with all religious and spiritual beliefs.
It is highly recommended to eat only a light meal or snack before your session. A heavy meal requires a lot of your body’s energy for digestion, which can distract from the deep energetic healing and relaxation process.
Distant Reiki works on the Hermetic principle of interconnectedness—that we are all made of energy. As a practitioner, I use specific energetic symbols and intentions to connect with your energy field across time and space, allowing you to receive the benefits from your own home.
While a single session will bring you deep relaxation and energetic balancing, true lasting transformation takes time. For addressing deep-rooted blockages or chronic stress, I typically recommend starting with a series of 3 to 4 sessions, spaced a week or two apart.
Yes, healing should be accessible. While single sessions are paid upfront, I offer flexible, structured payment plans for my longer coaching containers and holistic packages. We can discuss a plan that works best for you during our discovery call.
No. I am a holistic practitioner and energy healer, not a licensed medical doctor. I do not diagnose conditions, nor do I prescribe medications. Reiki and holistic coaching are wonderful complementary therapies, but should not replace professional medical care.
Absolutely. Many of my clients choose to continue our journey together after the initial 8 weeks. We can transition into a longer 3-to-6-month deep-dive container, or schedule monthly maintenance sessions to keep your energy balanced.
To maintain a highly intimate, safe, and sacred container where every voice is heard and held, my women’s circles are purposefully kept small. They are typically capped at an exclusive group of 8 to 12 participants.
Nervous system regulation is a deeply personal journey, not an overnight fix. Depending on your history of trauma and current stress levels, you may feel immediate relief after a single session. However, retraining a chronically dysregulated nervous system usually requires several weeks to months of consistent holistic practices.
